Our popular winter series returns with new featured speakers and local brews! Our season kicks off on Wednesday, January 22 at 7:00pm with one of our favorite artifacts: photographs! Taught by Museum Directors Tim Talbott (Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm) and Charlie Pautler (Shawnee Town 1929), learn about how to identify historic photographs, such as daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, cabinet cards, and snapshots--and how to "read" what information a historic photo contains. Many actual photographs will be shared. You are also invited to bring your own compelling photograph from your grandma's attic to share and discuss!
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Your $8.00 admission includes a complimentary beverage from our evening’s featured brewery. Call (913) 248–2360 or visit www.ShawneeTown.org to book your seats.
**Friends of Shawnee Town Members are entitled to FREE ADMISSION (based on their Membership Level) - call (913) 248-2360 to pre-register.
The event will be in the Museum’s Town Hall, located at 11600 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.
