Asteroids represent some of the earliest remnants of our solar system's beginnings. Please join Planetarium Presenter Chris Rademacher as we explore the makeup of asteroids, their historic discovery, space missions that have visited asteroids, and plans to protect earth from a possible collision with an asteroid.
This special 12-month lecture series explores our Universe from its formation through its eventual demise. Learn about fundamental astronomical phenomena such as galaxies, solar system formation, high energy physics, and more. You'll be transformed on a journey through space and time with surround sound, 3-D effects, and Digistar 7 technologies that bring space to life in an immersive setting that can only be experienced at Michigan's largest planetarium, Longway Planetarium.
Live lectures start promptly at 6 p.m. - there is no late seating. Please arrive early for best seating.
