About this Event

This outdoor class takes place in the rugged and unspoiled environment of historic Jolly's Mill Pond in Williamsburg, VA.

In this class, you'll learn:

  • You'll learn about passionflower and how it got its name
  • How to identify passionflower
  • How it was traditionally prepared as part of folk remedies
  • We'll also brew a fresh batch of passionflower tea.


This class is part of Taste Local History, a culinary heritage series from Jolly's Mill Pond Farm. We teach history with food and drinks, especially the Black and Indigenous culinary heritage of our region.
