A history talk featuring an area of the Cliff Hammock subdivision in the Brickell neighborhood once referred to as Millionaire Row.
About this Event

Once a part of Brickell's Millionaire Row, the Cliff Hammock sub-division was once the most popular quarter of opulence in Miami's southside neighborhood. Some of the most successful families of the Gilded Age flaunted their wealth by wintering in the Brickell neighborhood of yesteryear.

Join me for a talk at BBQ & Craft Brickell that takes a virtual tour of Miami's Cliff Hammock section of the old southside neighborhood which stretched from Fifteenth Road to Vizcaya along Brickell Avenue. Learn about the families who built and wintered in the opulent mansions along the famous thoroughfare. Hear about Miami's first "Little" neighborhood when this quarter was dubbed "Little San Juan".

In addition to a vivid description of Brickell's past, this talk will feature a lot of historic pictures of the area. Given the amount of content and pictures detailing Cliff Hammock, the scope of this talk will cover from SE Fifteenth Road to SE Twenty-Fifth Road. A second part will cover the southern portion of this historic subdivision.

Please join me at BBQ & Craft at 947 Brickell Avenue on Tuesday, September 13, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm to enjoy an evening of great BBQ and history. The restaurant will provide food and drink specials during the course of the event. The event is FREE, but you will need to reserve your ticket by registering on Eventbrite.
