Lessons from Latin America: Weaving Relationships and Reconciling Colonial Legacies through Museum Collections

This talk will reflect on the work developed by the Santo Domingo Centre of Excellence for Latin American Research at the British Museum, collaborating with local communities and contemporary artists in the region. Focusing on key lessons learned, it will explore how Indigenous and Afrodiasporic perspectives may shape new paths for decolonising curatorial and art historical practice.
