Workshop 2: I Really DIG Archaeology

In this session we will work at an real dig site with an NPS ranger, learn about soil stratification and unearth artifacts to better understand Fort Monroe's history.

What We'll Do

• Utilize field tools to excavate a dig site
• Test soil samples to learn stratification
• Discover artifacts from various periods in history
