HISTORY + COCKTAILS: HARD LUCK IRONCLADS OF THE CAPE FEAR
About this Event
⚓ HISTORY + COCKTAILS: HARD LUCK IRONCLADS OF THE CAPE FEAR
The Civil War brought warships, blockades and battles directly into the Cape Fear.
This event explores the ironclads of the Cape Fear from 1862–1865 — the armored warships, their crews, their missions, and the often difficult circumstances surrounding these vessels during the war.
🎙️ Jim “Boo” McKee, native-born local historian, will share the history behind these fascinating ships and their connection to our area.
🍹 As with every event in the series, we’ll pair the history with a themed cocktail inspired by the evening’s topic.
