Heidi Dauphin is a mixed media and ceramic artist whose artistic identity is rooted in the role of collector and gatherer. Her accumulations shape both the conceptual approach and physical form of her work. From a distance, her work emphasizes strong designs intended to draw the viewer in, while up close it reveals intimate layers of detail, unexpected connections, and stories discovered through careful observation. She will talk about her process as an artist and the work that she is showing at Vision Gallery in The Collectionists from August 22 – November 7.
