Join us for a special day of remembrance, celebration, and community as Spirit of Hope UMC opens two historic time capsules (1957 & 1965) from our church’s past!We will begin the capsule openings at noon. As part of the ceremony, we will also share a special litany of blessing and thanksgiving to honoring the faith and stories of the past while looking with hope toward the still unfolding future.
All are invited! This event is not only for our congregation, but for the wider Englewood community as well. Whether you have a personal connection to Spirit of Hope, remember the church from years past, or are simply interested in local history, we would love for you to join us for this meaningful occasion.
Following the capsule openings we will gather for a potluck-style lunch and community celebration. The church will provide the main protein dish, and guests are invited (if able) to bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Come celebrate the memories we uncover and the community we continue to build together!
