About this Event
Porches are an iconic feature of many Cleveland Park homes. They provide cool breezes in the summer, entertaining options in all types of weather, and a stage for holiday decorating. Nearly every Cleveland Park house style has its accompanying type and style of porch. The value of a Cleveland Park porch is inestimable to residents, so it becomes a priority to maintain its function and beauty. Learn when a porch shows signs of wear and tear and how to address porch issues to save money.
Cleveland Park Historical Society has gathered an expert panel to discuss the dos and don’ts of maintaining, repairing, and replacing your home’s porch. Please join panelists Wayne Adams of Barnes Vanze Architects, DC Historic Preservation Office’s officer for Cleveland Park Todd Jones, and CPHS’s Executive Director Stephen Hansen for informative presentations, followed by a Q&A session with the panelists.
