Historic garden tour and Cemeterrarium Workshop
Join professional horticulturist Gregg Tepper, Laurel Hill, and Green Philly for an evening to:
- Learn about Laurel Hill as a pioneer of the major rural garden cemetery movement
- Sustainability Insights: Discover the cemetery’s latest green, eco-friendly initiatives, including ways the cemetery repurposes materials throughout the arboretum
- Guided Garden Stroll: Walk through the unique Medallion Garden, featuring:
- A welcoming rock garden crafted from repurposed materials found on-site
- A stylized goth garden
- A curated dwarf conifer garden
- Hands-On Crafting: Build, plant, and customize your very own miniature Ceme-terrarium to take home under Gregg’s expert guidance.
No experience needed, just bring your imagination and get ready to make something awesome.
All materials to build your cemeterrarium will be included. Light bites and beverages will be provided.
