Historic Barn Walk

Experience a guided walk of the historic farm buildings while diving into some of the farm's history on this delightful stroll!
About this Event

Each log of our historic buildings reveals the toil and hope of the Brown family. Walk through the barns and observe the exterior of the private Farm House that started it all here at the farm. We will reveal the story of the Brown/Gorman family and how they lived through the years, from the 1835 Bank Barn to the 1930s Hen House. We'll see old farm tools, hear stories of the family who lived here, and discover how these buildings are still in use today.

What ages is this program suited for?

This is an adult geared program. Keenly interested children over the age of 10 may attend with an adult. Any attendees must have a preregistered ticket.

What should I wear?

Dress for the weather and be prepared to walk about a mile on a hilly path with some detours into old barns. Close-toed shoes are highly recommended, as are layers for the colder months. We will spend most of the 1.5 hours outside.

How much walking will we do?

We will walk about a mile total. The walk takes us up a steady hill and back down. There are a few steps to enter barns and buildings.

• Programs run rain or shine. Dress for the weather if your program takes you outside!
• No ticket refunds within 2 weeks of the program except in the case of Gorman Heritage Farm cancelling the program.
