It’s been said that a city’s history is written on its tombstones, and nowhere is this truer than at Sunset Cemetery, one of Jacksonville’s largest historic African American cemeteries.
Join LISC, St. Johns RIVERKEEPER, and the Jaxson Magazine’s Ennis Davis for a walking tour covering the overlooked history of many of early Jacksonville’s most interesting figures, including entrepreneur and philanthropist, James "Charlie Edd" Craddock.
Hear Jacksonville history as only The Jaxson can tell it.

*At the last tour we noticed that trash was accumulating at the fence line between Sunoco gas station and Sunset Cemetery. We are looking for a few early bird volunteers to arrive at 8:30am so we can do a clean up along that side of the cemetery and hang on to our grabbers to collect any loose trash throughout the tour.
