PIANO TRIO
STEFANO MICELI, PIANO
PAOLO MARCHETTINI, CLARINET
JAMES ACAMPORA, CELLO
The Miceli Arts Foundation proudly presents an unforgettable evening with internationally acclaimed pianist and conductor Stefano Miceli, joined by an exceptional trio of artists: composer and clarinetist Paolo Marchettini and the versatile New York-based cellist James Acampora.
Histoire du Tango is more than a concert—it is an immersive musical journey. Through the evocative voices of clarinet, cello, and piano, the program explores the evolution, elegance, and emotional depth of the tango tradition. From the nostalgic charm of the 19th century to the refined modernity of the 20th, this performance reveals the soul of tango in all its power and sensuality.
The evening features masterpieces by Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel, Isaac Albéniz, and Kurt Weill, reimagined in a sophisticated trio setting. These timeless works will come alive in a program that blends lyricism, rhythm, and dramatic intensity.
A distinctive hallmark of the festival, Maestro Miceli will guide the audience throughout the performance, offering insights into the creative and emotional dimensions of the repertoire. His engaging commentary transforms the concert into a dialogue—inviting listeners to connect more deeply with the music and its meaning.
