Hiring Fair at Pomona Fairplex – Immediate Openings for Nights & Weekends

Cherokee Federal and Team Hope are hosting a two-day hiring event for immediate job openings at a temporary shelter for migrant children and teens located on the Pomona Fairplex grounds.

We are supporting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in a humanitarian mission to care for youth who have traveled alone fleeing dangerous conditions in their home countries. Our team provides appropriate childcare and works to unify children and teens quickly and safely with their family, loved ones or a qualified sponsor. 

We are seeking qualified and compassionate caregivers interested in immediate employment – primarily for case manager, youth care worker and administrative professional roles. With hundreds of job openings (primarily nights and weekends), offers will be extended immediately. Pay is commensurate with experience. Must pass a federal background check. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Attendees are encouraged to dress casually (yet presentably), bring multiple copies of resumes, wear a mask and practice social distancing.

The hiring event will take place on Thursday, June 17 from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 19 between 8:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Conference Center (1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona, CA 91768).
