Hiring Event: Print Graphics Designer

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a passion for tangible, real-world design. Reporting to our Creative Supervisor, you will be the go-to expert for transforming brand concepts into stunning physical assets. This role is perfect for a designer who loves seeing their work move from the screen to a storefront, a product package, or a printed page.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and prepare production-ready files for a wide range of applications, including:
• • Signage: Interior/exterior signs, vehicle wraps, window graphics, and tradeshow displays.
  • Print Advertising: Magazine ads, flyers, brochures, and posters.
  • Promotional Products: Custom designs for apparel, merchandise, and corporate gifts.
  • Packaging: Creative and functional packaging solutions for client products.
  • Stationery: Business cards, letterheads, and other corporate identity materials.
• Collaborate with clients and our internal team to understand project requirements and brand guidelines.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess signage spaces, take measurements, and ensure design feasibility.
• Manage projects from initial concept through to final production, ensuring brand consistency and quality control.
• Work closely with print vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate execution of designs.

What We're Looking For:

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a diploma or degree program in Graphic Design or a related field.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, particularly in layout, typography, and branding. Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is mandatory.
• A valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to your own reliable vehicle for mandatory client meetings and site assessments within Calgary.
• A keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the technical requirements for print and large-format production.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively under the guidance of a supervisor.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with motion graphics and video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects) for creating animated digital signage and social media ads would be a significant asset.
