Himilo - The Somali Cymru Alliance Stakeholder Conference

Join us for our Stakeholder Conference 2025, a landmark gathering bringing together community leaders, public sector partners, and policymakers to shape a stronger, fairer, and more inclusive Wales.

Himilo – meaning hope, vision, and ambition in Somali – represents a unified movement of 12 Somali-led organisations from across Wales. Together, we are building a collective voice to champion equality, inclusion, and opportunity for Somali people, families, and organisations.

Over the past year, Himilo has been working closely with the Welsh Government, Cardiff Council, Cardiff University, C3SC and other key partners to develop three core strategic areas:

• 💼 Livelihoods – Economic and Skills Development
• ❤️ Health and Well-being – Improving Access and Support
• 🌍 Community Support – Capacity Development and Sustainability

This conference will showcase the progress made across these areas, highlight collaborative work with public and private partners, and look ahead to the next phase of our collective journey — building lasting partnerships that empower Somali communities to thrive.
