COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this workshop we will teach a safe and effective approach for heated, Himalayan Salt Stone Massage.
A Full Body Himalayan Salt Stone Massage relaxes as it assists in balancing the central nervous system.
This massage treatment combines Traditional Chinese Medicine, thermal therapy, salt therapy, reflexology combined with Swedish and/or deep tissue massage techniques. This therapy integrates wonderfully with many massage techniques!
The recipient of a Himalayan Salt Stone Massage absorbs an ocean of healing energy and nutrients from the primal sea! The therapists’ hands benefit from using the warm salt stones as well!
This workshop will also include the set-up as well as the care and cleaning of the stones.
We will explore the therapeutic use and benefits of using hot and cold temperatures on the body as well as any presenting contraindications.
We will also include a full-body approach to delivering the massage with the proper amount of lubricant and we will place a special emphasis on body mechanics and ergonomics.
The purpose of this class is to ensure that our students have a full understanding of the use of the stones as a therapeutic tool as well as ensuring the highest level of core competency a therapist will need to provide a stellar client experience. 😎
