With the public’s help, we were able to install and later retrieve the 12,000 American flags on the Virginia War Memorial hill. But now we need help with bundling and packing them up. This will take place in our parking deck after the flags have had a few days to dry out.
Please note - it’s going to be hot.
Our Hill of Heroes is just one of the many ways that we honor and remember the close to 12,000 Virginians whose names are engraved in our Shrine, having been killed in action.
