Hike With A Naturalist - Little Falls Trail

Join the JSU Field School the 1st Friday and 3rd Saturday of each month for a guided hike. We’ll discuss the plants, animals, and natural history of the area as we hike the trails.
We are hiking the Little Falls Trail. This very popular trail totals 3-miles and features stunning views of both the Main Falls, Little Falls, and everything in-between. The trail is moderate to difficult and includes a 137-steps that descend into the canyon. Children and leashed pets are welcome.
Please bring plenty of water and/or sports drink, snacks, hiking poles/staff (optional), sturdy shoes (open toe shoes are not recommended). Please be sure to dress appropriately according to seasonal temperatures/weather.
Weather Notice: As with all outdoor programs, hikes may be canceled due to rain, storms, or unsafe trail conditions. If weather is questionable, please check with the Canyon Center before attending.
Meeting Location: Meet at the Little River Canyon Center, Fort Payne, Alabama (AL Hwy 35). Please arrive by 10:00 a.m. CT, and we will caravan to the trail head.
