Hike/Kayak/Canoe at the Necedah Wildlife Refuge

Join us May 20, 2023 at the Necedah Wildlife RefugeDepending on the amount of interest, we will have a few activity options available.
Hike: Enjoy a group hike through the refuge. We have several trails to pick from and can decide what trail distance looks best. If you have a trail preference, please indicate it when registering.
Canoe/Kayak: Explore the Suk Cerney flowage by canoe or kayak
Bring your kayak or canoe and join along as we take a trip around the flowage.
We can also give canoe rides around the flowage if you don't have a canoe but are interested in getting out on the water. We will have some youth and adult life jackets available to borrow.
If you're interested in joining us, please RSVP and meet at the Suk Cerney Flowage (Necedah Wildlife Refuge) at 9:00 am.

What to bring: Sunscreen and bug spray, and your canoe or kayak if you'd like. We don't plan on getting wet but you may also want a set of dry clothes. We will provide water and a snack.

Anyone in our district, young or aged, is welcome to attend this FREE club event. You do not need to have children currently attending the Necedah Area School District. All children aged 10-18, if not accompanied by an adult, will need a permission slip to attend club events. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
