Hike For Humanity

Join us for the Hike for Humanity – Winter Relief Appeal, a charity walk organised by Human Aid & Advocacy to support families struggling through the cold this winter. On Saturday 6th December 2025, we’ll hike through Dovedale in the Peak District, coming together to raise funds that will help provide warmth, food, and hope for families in Gaza, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, and for Uyghur and Rohingya refugees. It’s a chance to enjoy the outdoors, meet great people, and do something meaningful for those facing hardship this winter.

Everyone is encouraged to reach a minumum fundraising target of £200.

Where Your Support Goes

£50 Winter food pack

£70 Winter essential pack- blanket, coat, gloves scarves hat

£100 Winter essential pack and fuel for 1 month

£150 Winter essential pack and fuel for 3 months

Recomended Clothing Requirments

• Waterproof jacket (essential)
• Warm layers (fleece or jumper)
• Long-sleeve base layer or thermal top
• Comfortable hiking trousers (avoid jeans)
• Hat, gloves, and scarf (weather-appropriate)
• Spare warm layer (in case of wind or rain)

Footwear

• Comfortable walking or hiking boots/shoes with good grip
• Warm socks (preferably wool or hiking-specific)
• Spare pair of socks (optional but recommended)

Day Pack (Small Backpack)

• Reusable water bottle (minimum 1 litre)
• Light snacks or energy bars
• Packed lunch (optional)
• Personal Medic*tion (if needed)
• Small first-aid items (plasters, pain relief, etc.)
• Hand sanitiser and tissues(optional)
• Portable phone charger or power bank (optional)
• Bin bag
