Hike Castlewood Canyon State Park + Picnic Lunch!

Come hike Castlewood Canyon State Park with us! We will have a picnic lunch afterwards as there are plenty of picnic tables and restrooms at the trailhead. This is a state park. If you don't have a park pass, it will be about $10-15 to get in.
We are going to park at the Canyon Point parking lot and meet at the trailhead called Canyon View Nature Trail. Please know that there is a long staircase to walk to get out of the canyon, so if stairs aren't your thing, you may want to pass on this hike.
We hike an hour out and an hour back (about 4-5 miles). If this is your first hike in a while, please gauge your own fitness level before committing.
This is intended as a no stress group for like minded women! Please wear proper footwear and bring water.
Dogs are encouraged!!
Please know we go on some easy hikes, but we go on moderate to moderate-difficult hikes at times as well. Please gauge your own fitness level. If you are not comfortable hiking 4-5 miles, please go at your own pace and turn around if necessary or work up to joining us. Members hike at their own risk and Chubby Women Over 40 Hiking Group is not responsible for anything that may happen adversely on the hike.
