Hike and Yoga

Join us for our next ExploreMore Hike and Yoga class!

Explore More is here to bring you a fun outdoor community event where we will get in nature and soak up the fresh air with a family friendly hike and some yoga in nature. We want to give you the opportunity to explore new trails and activities while meeting new people and building confidence outdoors.

Cost: $25 plus a $6 fee to enter the Nature Center

Hike Length: 3 miles

Event Overview: We'll walk approximately 3 miles and will practice some simple yoga stretches. in a standing practice. No yoga mat is needed.

Parking: We will park in the main parking lot at Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge.

Cash: There is a $6 fee to enter the Nature Center that is not included in your ticket.

What you bring: Please bring water and a snack if you'd like (but be sure to pack any trash out) and wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Trekking poles or a walking stick recommended if you would like assistance with avoiding tripping. You will NOT need a yoga mat.

Get Physical: Recommended skills for this hike: The ability to listen and follow instructions, walk independently or with light assistance with a single point cane or trek-pole, the ability to look for trip hazards, lift feet 3 inches from the ground, move to the side quickly and the ability to not touch or ingest the flora and fauna.

Trash Talk: Explore More encourages cleaning up the trail as we go. This trail is very maintained but we always encourage everyone to be mindful of our impact on the outdoors.

Before your Hike: Hydrate, even in cooler temps. If your lips are dry, you need more water. You might also need an electrolyte drink post hike (Gatorade, Propel, Body Armor) so bring one for your car. If you like pickles, pickle juice works well! Bring snacks or plan snacks for after hike if you like.

Family friendly: Yes! Your kids are welcome and FREE!! However, no strollers and unfortunately no pups.

What you will get from us: You will have a fun experience, be led in an outdoor yoga class and guided hike, as well as more swag, education and inspiration to get outside and build confidence outdoors so you can continue to Explore More on your own.

Weather disclosure: If weather does not allow us to have our event or recent weather has caused the trail to close, we will either relocate, reschedule or refund your ticket price OR you can transfer to another event. Please check your email and the Facebook event for any updates.
