đâď¸ Calling all high school storytellers!Barton Community College Theatre is launching its first High School Playwrights Festival in spring 2026 â and youâre invited to be part of it!
đ Students can submit an original 10-minute play Feb. 26 âMarch 12 for consideration in the festival by emailing [email protected] with âBarton Playwrights Festival" as the subject line.
đŹ Six plays will be selected for staged readings and performed live at 7:30 p.m. April 18 in the Barton Fine Arts Auditorium. The event is open to the public and celebrates original student-written work in collaboration with Barton Theatre and the greater community.
đ Following the performance, one student will be named the festivalâs first-ever Champion Playwright and receive a prize.
The festival is designed to empower young writers to tell their own stories and experience the collaborative magic of live theatre.
