The ASU Gammage High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA) recognizes and celebrates high school students and faculty who produce outstanding musical theatre programs across the Valley. Over the course of the school year, participating schools are adjudicated in 14 performance and technical categories. ASU Gammage HSMTA is a regional program of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as The Jimmy Awards. At the ceremony, each of the 25 schools will perform one number from their school musical. Awards will be handed out in the 14 categories. The two Best Lead winners will be based on solo performances by the Top 3 Lead Male and Female Finalists. The winners will represent ASU Gammage HMSTA at The Jimmy Awards in New York City. The ceremony is a true celebration of the youth musical theatre community in the greater Phoenix area.
Note:
All patrons must have a ticket, including infants in arms. Venue is accessible to all patrons. Seats in accessible section are limited to one companion seat. THERE IS NO ACCESSIBLE SEATING AVAILABLE IN BALCONY OR TIER SECTIONS.
