About this Event

Please choose the FREE PAID WITH FUNDS ticket option to reserve any ticket that you would like to pay for with your student's planning amount. Once registration closes the teacher leading the field trip will reach out with instructions on how to place an order in Procurify.
This event is for all Heartland Charter School High School students.
See the wonders of the Morro Bay estuary with expert nature guides from Central Coast Outdoors. We will kayak the waters of Morro Bay, sharing it with wildlife like harbor seals, sea lions and sea otters, as well as literally hundreds of species of birds, including several rare and endangered species. The waters of Morro Bay are protected from the open ocean by a scenic four mile long sandspit. During our journey we will disembark on the sandspit to hike to the ocean side, slide down sand dunes and play jump rope with kelp. The weather is moderate year round, creating an ideal place for beginners and expert kayakers, alike. This trip is for high school students only!
This high school hangout is a drop-off event. Each student needs to complete this waiver and email it to Jennifer Hubbard at [email protected] Your student may not be dropped off unless this waiver is completed. This field trip requires an additional waiver from the venue. Parents will need to sign the waiver when they drop off their student.
ALL attendees must submit the drop-off waiver and the vendor waiver in order to attend.

We encourage families to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

Please read our refund policy!

Refunds will not be given. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip please contact the teacher that planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you. You may not send a different family in your place as we will not have a waiver for them.

May I pay using my student's planning amount? Yes! You can pay for your student's ticket with your student's planning amount. You will need to choose the free Heartland Student ticket ticket option.
