A special event for talented young people who are making the wrong choices. We call them High Potential!
About this Event

Ready to turn creativity into opportunity? 🌟

On Wednesday 28th October we are doing something special. We have organised a specific event for young people who are incredibly talented but are making the wrong choices. They are getting caught up with the wrong crowd, here's what we mean:

• They have been to Pr*son
• They are potentially on their way to Pr*son if things don't change
• They are known to the police
• They are known to the Youth Offending Teams or Youth Justice Teams
• They have been stopped with weapons on them
• They are potentially gang affiliated (and they want to get out)
• They go missing for days and then they come back home
• And other similar concerns

You as a parent, guardian or family member have concerns and you know that they have so much potential. They just need help to put it in the right direction.

If this is the case, then this event is for them.

We want to show them that there is another way. We will have people and organisations at this event, who can support them.

To be honest, we don't know exactly how this event will go, but we can no longer watch while we lose talented, gifted and HIGH POTENTIAL young people. We know that we need to do something to make a difference.

This mindset is why 1000 Black Boys started in 2018. We saw a problem and the stereotypes projected on our boys and young men, and we were no longer ok to just let it continue.

We want to show them that they are High Potential and can use their gifts in a way that means they don't have to look over their shoulder but can contribute positively to society.

Funded by Addison Youth, this event brings together trailblazers, industry experts, and innovative entrepreneurs who have walked the path themselves and are here to share their stories and strategies. Wherever they are on the journey, we will have someone in the room they can relate to - this event will provide practical tools and real-life insights to help them thrive.

Each of our speakers has a unique story and powerful insights, making this event an invaluable experience for anyone eager to turn their life around.

Who Should Attend?

This event is open to:

• Young people that need inspiration, direction and support
• Young people who want to turn their life around
• Young people who have just come out of Pr*son
• Young people whose choices are leading them towards Pr*son or the wrong path
• Parents, Guardians & Family Members of those young people seeking help, advice and support
• Siblings are also welcomed to be in the room
• Anyone passionate about helping our young people make the right choices!

Ticket Information:

Who Are 1000 Black Boys?

We are Social Enterprise that exists to inspire Black boys and young Black men (7-25 years) to unleash their potential and live purposeful lives. As that continues to happen everyone benefits. No one loses.

Through our powerful events and partnerships, we create opportunities that are meaningful for Black boys, young Black men, their parents/guardians and families.

We’re committed to supporting our boys and young men to develop a powerful mindset that enables them to see their true identity (not the stereotypes) and fulfil their potential.

Even though we say 7-25 years old, someone younger or older can also attend (and this is often the case with all our events).

We also spotlight unsung heroes - people and organisations who tirelessly champion young people's development and are sometimes overlooked. Beyond the event, we strive to build lasting mentorship and support networks, equipping every attendee with the resources they need to navigate their journey successfully in life.

Our Objectives for our Inspiration & Empowerment Events:

1. Provide hope & inspiration to Black boys, young Black men and their families
2. Give a platform to organisations making a difference in young lives.
3. Facilitate connections between those organisation to enhance available support
4. Offer access to continued mentorship, support & opportunities post-event.
