Hiedout Entertainment Presents DARK MATTER: BlackGummy × Pretence
Description
Hideout Entertainment Proudly Presents: DARK MATTER feat. BLACKGUMMY × PRETENCE
Before stars were born, there was only darkness. An unstoppable hidden force pulling our universe into place.
Get ready for DARK MATTER on Saturday, November 21, as that force takes over Double Dragon. Expect a night of immersive dark electronic music, hypnotic rhythms and relentless bass. This is not just a show, this is the great attraction you cannot escape. 🌀
⚡ BLACKGUMMY
BlackGummy is the creation of Los Angeles–based producer Iman Marouf, who discovered the mysterious entity known as BlackGummy during a transformative journey in 2013, sparking a fusion of identities and an obsessive pursuit of mastery in sound design and music production.
Mentored by renowned engineer Steve Duda, Iman also contributed to the legendary synthesizer Serum and is credited for his role, cementing his reputation for forward-thinking sound design and music production. In 2015, mau5trap recognized BlackGummy’s unique vision and released his debut track “Lullaby,” followed by the acclaimed “Singularity EP” in 2016. This set the tone for his dark, cinematic style and led to a trilogy of EPs— including “Impactor” and “Monolith”—each exploring profound themes and earning praise from industry giants.
Building on that momentum, BlackGummy headlined multiple tours of his own while also joining Deadmau5, REZZ, and Feed Me on their tours, becoming a fixture at some of the world’s leading festivals, with repeat appearances at EDC (Las Vegas, Mexico, Guangdong), Electric Forest, and Das Energi. He also showcased his sound at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Shambhala, Global Dance Festival, Lights All Night, Get Freaky, Escape Psycho Circus, Nocturnal Wonderland, BUKU Music + Art Project, and more—all while continuing to redefine the boundaries of electronic music.
Upon completing the trilogy and touring, BlackGummy took a step back into the studio to develop his most ambitious concept yet: his debut album, “Ra(z/is)e.” The album explores the dichotomy between a razed world and a raised world, guiding listeners from darkness into light.
⚡ PRETENCE
Hailing from Sydney Australia. now based in Vancouver Canada, Pretence is a force not to be messed with. Pretence started his musical journey in 2015 with a passion for long build-ups and catchy melodies that were often presented to him at afterdark parties. His interest grew deeply and transformed into a love for the darker, underground sounds.
Years after delving into the world of production Pretence began to emulate and experiment with percussion, synths and basslines, creating a hybrid version that both shock the senses and send the body into a state of flux.
Already catching the likes of high class artists such as Rezz, Sara Landry, I Hate Models, Nitti, Martin Garrix, Vampa, Morten, Drezo, Dr Fresch, AC Slater, Marten Horger, Matroda, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Odd Mob and many more, theres no doubt that this artist will be showcasing the world the evilness that lies within his productions.
Pretence: an attempt to make something that is not the case appear true.
