HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT: YOUTH MENTAL ILLNESS
Executive produced by Ken Burns, and directed and co-produced by Erik Ewers and Christopher Loren Ewers

Montana Healthcare Foundation is pleased to bring a 60-minute screening of Hiding in Plain Sight to the Butte community. Following the screening, join Kee Dunning, a Billings-based therapist featured in the film for a moderated panel discussion.

About the documentary: From executive producer Ken Burns, Hiding in Plain Sight: Youth Mental Illness is a new documentary that tells the story of the mental health crisis among American youth. The film follows over 20 young Americans from across the country, including two Billings, Montana students.

The film presents an unvarnished window into daily life with mental health challenges, from seemingly insurmountable obstacles to stories of hope and resilience. Through the experiences of these young people, the film confronts the issues of stigma, discrimination, awareness, and silence, and, in doing so, help advance a shift in the public perception of mental health concerns today

Therapist Kee Dunning - An inspiring therapist who works with young people and their families, Kee Dunning combines a realistic acknowledgment of the pain of mental challenges with an extraordinarily positive and creative approach to helping them.

Safety Protocol: Please follow the CDC’s guidance for COVID-19 prevention.
