Artist Background
Dr. Sara Schesser Bartra is a South Florida-based visual artist whose work bridges science and art. With a PhD in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from Umeå University, she spent more than 20 years in scientific research before fully embracing her artistic practice.
Her work transforms the invisible worlds of microbes, fungi, and ecosystems into captivating visual experiences that reveal the beauty and interconnectedness of life.
