Hidden treasures: the collections from English Heritage and Tullie House

An exciting opportunity for the general public to join online one of the Society of Antiquaries of Newcastle monthly meetings!

The meeting's lecture will be delivered by Dr. Frances Mcntosh, with contributions from Elsa Price.

Elsa Price and Frances McIntosh care for collections spanning the central and western sections of Hadrian Wall, covering multiple sites. Many of these sites have been published, yet there is still a wealth of information which can be gathered by studying the collections discovered there. This talk will discuss some of the challenges involved in caring for these collections, but also some of the new research which has been undertaken on these objects.
