Hidden Gems of Biscuit Run

Albemarle's newest and largest county park is hiding a few treasures!

Join Tree Stewards Emily Ferguson and Jeff Pacelli for a walk in Biscuit Run's 1,190 acres in search of its hidden tree gems, the kind worth craning your neck to see before autumn's colors fade. This is a moderate walk over woodland trails with some hills and unimproved trails that can be muddy.

If you are already a tree enthusiast, please bring your favorite tree ID book, hand lens, and/or binoculars as aids. Please dress according to the weather conditions. We will not be walking fast but recommend wearing hiking boots or sneakers and bringing water and food if necessary.
