About this Event

This Orange Shirt Day, join HI Canada-Vancouver as we come together in remembrance, reflection, and community. September 30 is an opportunity to honour the children who never returned home, recognize the lasting impacts of residential schools, and listen, learn, and stand together.

We’ll begin at HI Jericho Beach Hostel and travel together to UBC to participate in the Intergenerational March. Following the march, we’ll return to HI Jericho Beach Hostel for a film screening in our theatre room.

🎬 About the Film

If an Owl Calls Your Name shares the voices and experiences of Indigenous Elders, healers, and activists, exploring residential schools, cultural connection, ceremony, land, and the ongoing journey of healing and resilience.

Whether you join us for the march, the film, or the full day, your presence is welcome.

Come together. Listen. Remember. Learn. Every Child Matters.
