The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center will host a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 412 Lavender Drive in West Rome. The event is for Rome/Floyd residents only, and appointments are required. Appointments can be made online beginning April 11 at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F44ACA72DA3FEC43-48860030-may11hhw#/ or over the phone beginning the first business day of May. Early appointment times prior to 1 PM will be filled first, and additional appointment times up to 2:45 PM will be added on an as-needed basis.
HHW items typically collected at these events include liquids like used motor oil, paint, herbicides and pesticides.
Electronic items typically collected include computers, televisions, recorders, and most any peripheral type equipment like printers and keyboards.
