HAVE GUN, WILL TRAVEL released their first full-length album in 2008 and have been forging ahead ever since. “Their music has a great energy to it with infectious, sing-along choruses and refrains” said NPR’s Robin Hilton. American Songwriter Magazine referred to HGWT as “organic, infectious Americana Pop." Principal songwriter and singer-guitarist Matt Burke leads fellow bandmates; brother and bassist Daniel Burke, guitarist Scott Anderson, keyboardist Edward Stork and drummer Sam Farmer through a collection of songs that run the gamut from foot-stomping front-porch spirituals to strum-punk rave-ups, hill-country historicals and indie-rock anthems.
Nick Dittmeier & the Sawdusters understand that to stay relevant, country and Americana—like any long-running musical genres—must be unceremoniously leveled from time to time. Blasted by a cold steel wrecking ball, and reassembled into new forms atop the rubble. And what better moment for a scheduled demolition than with all of planet Earth in a holding pattern, straddling the deep
chasm between past and future. Into this void arrives Heavy Denim, an album that artfully sidesteps any slavish, formulaic adherence to roots-music traditions. Forcing themselves out of their comfort zones, Dittmeier & the Sawdusters began stripping back their roots-rock bluster and leaving room for new textures: drum machines, loopers, synths. Heavy Denim finds Dittmeier and the Sawdusters fearlessly reinventing their sound. With its refreshing creativity and sonic adventurousness, Heavy Denim is one of those rare and wonderful records that expands the boundaries of its genre.
Claire Vandiver was born in Nashville, Tennessee and raised by parents who were both musicians. Now living in Central Florida, Claire has spent the past decade honing her craft as a musician and songwriter. She's previously released one EP and several singles recorded by multi-platinum producers ZK Productions in Atlanta, finding her own unique sound along the way. Claire’s voice is equal parts angelic and electrifying; soft and welcoming one second to, edgy and commanding the next. Blending a wide array of influences ranging from indie rock, to modern pop, she has crafted a unique sound that is truly fresh.
