This year, we are excited to welcome noted journalist and author, Eric Schlosser, to join us alongside a screening of Food, Inc. 2, the sequel to the 2008 Oscar®-nominated and Emmy® Award-winning documentary film.
Join us at the 418 Project (formerly Riverfront Twin / DNA's Comedy Lab) at 155 River Street. We'll have delicious baked holiday treats generously provided by Dani O Bakeshop and seasonal beverages, along with a selection of HGP's artisinal goods, in addition to Eric's books (which we encourage you to get signed), to help you get a jumpstart on the holiday season. We'll feature a short presentation, and hear from an HGP trainee in addition to Eric Schlosser's presentation.

Schlosser previously worked as a playwright for an independent film company. Two of his plays, Americans (2003) and We the People (2007), have been produced in renowned London theaters. About Food Inc. 2:
In Food, Inc. 2, the sequel to the 2008 Oscar®-nominated and Emmy® Award-winning documentary Food, Inc., filmmakers Robert Kenner and Melissa Robledo reunite with investigative authors Michael Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma) and Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation) to take a fresh look at our vulnerable food system. Since the first film, multinational corporations have tightened their stronghold on US governments, robbed workers of a fair living wage and contributed to the global proliferation of ultra-processed foods along with a chemically formulated international health crisis. The film centers innovative farmers, future-thinking food producers, workers’ rights activists and prominent legislators Senator Cory Booker and Senator Jon Tester who are facing these companies head on to inspire change and build a healthier, more sustainable future.
Food, Inc. 2 is produced by Participant and River Road Entertainment and distributed by Magnolia Pictures.
