About this Event
HEYCA Made Smarter: Robot for Manufacturing Sector
Automation of manufacturing processes is a crucial step in a company’s need to win/retain business, and to protect against an aging workforce. Contra to popular opinion, robots rarely replace people, but they do help improve productivity, improve quality, reduce waste and remove ergonomic issues within a factory.
Hull & East Yorkshire Made Smarter team are delighted to offer local manufacturing businesses the chance to explore the world of robotic automation at a free workshop, being held on Thursday 8th October (starting at 8:30 with coffee and tea) at Aura Innovation Centre, Hessle, Hull.
Olympus Technologies are a leading local robotic automation company. They will lead us through this subject, outlining what robots and cobots actually are, and how they can help you overcome some of your business challenges. Adam Swallow, Manging Director of Olympus, will lead an informal session to talk through the steps of how to approach robotic automation for companies who have little or no experience. It will be kept informal so that questions can be asked along the way, and no questions are off limits. Adam will outline the process to follow, and the pitfalls to avoid. Following a break, one of Olympus’ engineers will enable you to experience a cobot for yourself, to understand how easy they are to operate, and how flexible they are to redeploy should your business needs change.
Made Smarter can support companies on this journey, both in terms of consultancy support, and capital grants for equipment Hull & East Yorkshire manufacturing businesses
