'Hey, What Would Nature Say?' Giving Nature a voice in decision making

In 2022, Faith in Nature became the first company in the world to make Nature a director, giving the natural world a voice and a vote on how the company is run.

Join Festival of Nature, University of Bristol, Faith In Nature and Lawyers For Nature to learn why this came about, how it became a reality and how you too can put Nature at the forefront of your decision making.

Joining from Faith In Nature will be joint Creative Directors and originators of the idea, Anne Hopkins and Simeon Rose, together with Brontie Ansell of Lawyers For Nature who created the framework and made it a reality.

Together, they’ll cover

- How and why two advertising creatives arrived at asking “What if Nature really was the boss?”

- The Rights of Nature, the guardianship model and the concept of environmental personhood

- How creativity, the Rights of Nature movement and corporate law worked together to imagine a wholly new way of operating

- Learnings from Anne & Simeon of what it’s like working alongside Nature as a director and learnings from Brontie on what it’s like being one of Nature’s guardians at Faith In Nature’s
