Hey Chica! Leadership Summit 2025

Hey Chicas!

The Hey Chica! Leadership Summit will be held on Saturday, March 29th at The Beeman Hotel Dallas. This half-day, in-person event, Leading In Proximity with Poder will feature 10+ influential speakers who are leading and moving beyond awareness to action in their individual spaces and redefining what The Power of Proximity means.

The programming will address the No Mean Girl Movement associated with shared visions, Shared Power and shared learning that will elevate leadership for chicas at every opportunity.

This year's summit will address our different perspectives and insights that can drive transformative change. We can all address the questions that build community and impact.

1. How can we place Chicas in leadership roles, and organizations that reflect and support the needs of our communities?

2. Challenging Stereotypes. As chicas ascend into positions of power, they challenge longstanding stereotypes and biases. Our visibility in leadership roles helps dismantle barriers and creates new narratives that celebrate our capabilities and achievements. This shift not only benefits individual leaders but also inspires future generations of chicas to pursue their ambitions without hesitation.

1. Community Impact: Leaders have a profound impact on their communities. By leading with empathy and understanding, chicas can address systemic issues, advocate for necessary resources, and create pathways for success for others. Their leadership fosters grassroots movements that drive social change and economic empowerment, showcasing the power of collaboration and community organizing.
2. Moving Beyond Awareness: While raising awareness about the importance of chicas in leadership is a crucial first step, true progress requires actionable steps. This includes creating mentorship programs, fostering networking opportunities, and providing resources that facilitate leadership development. The Hey Chica Movement and communities must commit to investing in the growth of leaders, creating environments where we can thrive and contribute fully.

5. Creating Alliances and activating the NO Mean Girl Movement. Empowering chicas also means building alliances across different sectors and communities. By uniting with allies and advocates, chicas can amplify their voices and create a collective impact.

Collaboration fosters shared learning and mutual support, reinforcing the idea that advancing our leadership benefits everyone.

6. A Call to Action: As we acknowledge the importance of Chicas in leadership, let us move from awareness to action. It is imperative that we champion policies and initiatives that support our chicas, facilitate access to leadership positions, and celebrate their contributions. By doing so, we pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive future, where chicas can lead with power, purpose, and unity.
