British/Australian jazz singer Hetty Kate returns to the JazzClub Vogler to share classics and curios from the swing, cool jazz and bop eras.
Described as "one of the best swing singers on the current scene" and credited with an "effortless" style, Hetty Kate was born in Britain, grew up in Australia and is now based in Paris. With an impressive career spanning more than 17 years, Hetty's voice has taken her all over the world, on stages large and small from New Zealand to New York. She toured with Australian jazz luminary James Morrison for many years, has performed with eight Symphonic orchestras worldwide and appeared on film, television and stage.
For this concert, Hetty is joined by Czech guitarist Libor Šmoldas. Praised for his melodic approach, mastery and warmth, Libor has toured and recorded with James Morrison, Bobby Watson, Jon Faddis, George Mraz, Jeff Ballard, Adam Nussbaum, Gregory Hutchinson, Sam Yahel, Brian Charette and many other international stars.
