### HERS Presents Session 008: The 2016 Rewind
Ten years later, the music of 2016 has found its way back into our playlists, social feeds, and collective consciousness. From the infectious energy of dancehall and pop to the unmistakable sounds of trap, hip-hop, and R&B, 2016 delivered a soundtrack that continues to define an era.
It was the year Rihanna gave us _ANTI_, Beyoncé changed the cultural conversation with _Lemonade_, Drake had us dancing to _One Dance_, and artists like Solange, Frank Ocean, and Chance the Rapper helped reshape the sound of contemporary music. Across genres, artists were experimenting with new sounds, challenging conventions, and creating records that would become cultural touchstones.
Before we close the chapter on this decade of nostalgia, we're taking one last trip back to 2016. This session revisits the sounds, artists, and cultural moments that defined an era, from chart-topping anthems and viral favorites to the deep cuts that deserve another listen.
We're also partnering with [ALL BLACK TRIVIA](https://www.instagram.com/allblacktrivia_/), one of Kansas City's favorite Black culture-themed trivia experiences, for a special trivia hour from **12:30–1:30 PM**. Put your knowledge of the music, entertainment, and cultural moments of 2016 to the test as we revisit the year beyond its soundtrack.
