About this Event
⛰️🦸🏻♂️ HEROIC Winemaking Tasting! 🚨 This November is looking to the impossible, and celebrating those vineyards pushing things to the extreme! 🍷
Prepare your taste buds for a thrilling adventure in viticulture! Heroic viticulture sees daring winemakers conquer extreme terrains to craft extraordinary wines. From Italy's Valtellina to France's Côte Rôtie and Portugal's Douro Valley, these vineyards cling to steep slopes, soar to dizzying altitudes, or thrive on remote islands. 👀
Italy leads the charge with regions like Valle d'Aosta, Alto Adige, and Sicily's volcanic slopes, but you'll find these viticultural daredevils worldwide.😮
With slopes over 30%, altitudes above 500 meters, and challenging island conditions 😮💨, heroic winemakers cultivate these vines despite constant threats. Why? The wines they produce are simply unparalleled in their expressiveness.
So sit back with a crisp Cinque Terre white or a bold red from the precipitous slopes of Ribeira Sacra, and get ready to hear the tales of human determination and nature's extremes.
