Heritage Walk - Special Guided Walk - City Botanic Gardens

The Queensland Heritage Register describes the City Botanic Gardens as “the most significant, non-Aboriginal cultural landscape in Queensland, having a continuous horticultural history since 1828, without any significant loss of land area or change in use over that time …”. Take a journey through nearly two hundred years of the gardens, from the convict settlement days to the green city oasis of 2025 and learn of their significant contribution to the development of Queensland.
Requirements: Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
Meeting point: Meet at the Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology's Main Drive pathway).
