Something special is happening at Woodloes…As part of the National Trust Heritage Festival, the Canning Districts Historical Society will be hosting a Mini Heritage Open Day at Woodloes Homestead on Sunday 19 April, 12pm–4pm.
This year’s festival theme is “Change – How has history changed us, and how are we changing history?”
Join us for a relaxed afternoon exploring one of the oldest surviving homes in the Canning district. Activities will include:
• Guided tours of Woodloes Homestead
• Children’s activities
• Music from Enchanted Bells
• A talk by Geoff Moor on the history of Woodloes
• Readings from a pioneer daughter’s diary
• Displays from the Society’s collection
• Community group stalls
We’d love to see you there — and share some of the stories that continue to shape our local history.
