Heritage Learning and Quality: An Introduction to the Sandford Award

The Heritage Education Trust champions high-quality heritage learning and supports organisations in creating engaging, inspiring and inclusive learning experiences. Through the Sandford Award, our flagship programme, we have been recognising outstanding heritage learning provision since 1978. Over the decades, hundreds of organisations have achieved Sandford Award recognition, making it one of the most respected and enduring benchmarks of quality in the heritage learning sector.

This informal session will provide an opportunity to:

• Learn more about the Sandford Award and how it supports quality in heritage learning
• Take part in a wider discussion about learning programmes in museums and heritage sites today.
• Ask questions and share experiences in an informal setting

Whether you are considering applying for the Sandford Award, developing learning programmes, or interested in discussing heritage education with peers, you are very welcome to attend.

Please note: The event will take place in the Ede Room at Kettle's Yard. There is no parking at Kettle's Yard. The nearest on-street parking is at Pound Hill, approximately a two-minute walk from the venue. Spaces are limited.
