                                    	About this Event
This Friendsgiving, we’re celebrating connection, culture, and community — one dish at a time.
Bring a favorite recipe that represents your heritage, roots, or family tradition to share with the group. Whether it’s a dish passed down through generations or simply something that reminds you of home, we’d love for every plate to tell a story.
Together, we’ll also take a moment to honor the Indigenous peoples whose traditions and harvests inspired what we now call “Thanksgiving.” Native ingredients like corn, beans, squash, wild rice, and cranberries continue to nourish our tables and remind us to lead with gratitude and respect.
Let’s make this a night of warmth, laughter, and connection — where every story, culture, and woman is celebrated. 🍂✨
🥫 Giving Back This Season
We’ll be collecting non-perishable food donations at the event to support the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center Food Bank, which helps Native and local Pittsburgh families in need.
If you’re able, please bring 1–3 items to donate — even one makes a difference!
Some great options include:
• Canned vegetables, beans, or soups
• Rice, pasta, or cereal
• Peanut butter or shelf-stable milk
• Baby food or hygiene items
