Fish Hoek Valley Museum is happy to partner with Simon’s Town Museum, Kommetjie Rate Payers Association, and the District Six Museum to bring you the inaugural Heritage Day Picnic and Commemoration on Saturday, 27th September. Everyone is welcome to the bring and share.
The aim of the day is to bring together communities of the valley to unveil the 'Wag ‘n Bietjie' Memorial bench, followed by a bring & share picnic and games at the Kom.
The District Six Museum will be on site to record snippets of people's stories from the Valley. This is your opportunity to share your story and to connect with surrounding communities through the community picnic.
Date: Saturday 27th September
Time: 11:00am – 14:00pm
Place: Meet at the Boat Slip way for the commemoration, followed by Community Picnic - and games by Fish Hoek 1st Scouts - at the Kom.
Bring your picnic baskets and camper chairs. Everyone is welcome. Spread the word!
