Title: ‘Yule Logs and Christmas Stars’

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.
Using the heritage technique of ‘Manx log cabin’, this session will give a tester of traditional quilt- making using hand sewing. Participants will also have the opportunity to make a folded fabric star Christmas decoration.
All fabric and sewing equipment will be provided. No previous experience is required but being able to sew a running stitch is all that is needed.
Hilary is Area Representative for The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles, an education charity, which promotes sewing skills and the preservation of historic and contemporary Quilts. Hilary has been patchwork quilting for forty years, volunteers for the Quilters’ Guild and runs a local Quilt Group. Hilary was formally a University lecturer and recently retired social care trainer who finds sewing beneficial for well being and relaxation.
