Who's got Buttons? To find out, come to the long-awaited revival of the Heritage Button Show presented by the Santa Clara Valley Button Club. This year the Show has moved to Redwood City. The Show is for both seasoned and new button collectors as well as for those who sew, bead, knit, or quilt. It is also for artists, designers, and crafters who love buttons and getting creative with them.
In addition to button sales, educational displays, a gift shop of button-related items and information, there will be thousands of buttons--from collectible to practical--on display and for sale. Buttons of every material and from all periods in history-- (some dating back to the 18th century!) will be on view. Learn about your own buttons, their history and values with the help of our club members. Find out about button clubs in your area where you can share and learn about the preservation and study of clothing buttons.
And for all of us who remember sorting through our mother's and grandmother's button boxes there will be "poke" boxes to sort through in search of that treasure to add to your collection.
The Heritage Button Show & Sale takes place at 651 El Camino Real, Redwood City on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10am to 4pm.
Open to the public; free admission; and plenty of free parking.
